Apple has indicated that it may increase prices for some of its products as the cost of memory and storage chips continues to rise. The company said that growing demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure is consuming a larger share of global semiconductor production, reducing the supply available for consumer electronics such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

Manufacturers are increasingly prioritizing high-performance memory chips for AI data centers, where profit margins are often higher. As a result, prices for key components, including DRAM and NAND flash memory, have climbed significantly in recent months, creating additional cost pressures for technology companies.

Apple stated that it is working closely with suppliers and leveraging its supply-chain expertise to limit the impact on customers. However, executives acknowledged that sustained increases in component costs could eventually lead to higher prices for certain devices. The development highlights how the rapid expansion of AI is reshaping global technology supply chains and affecting markets beyond the data-center industry.
