Jennifer Lopez cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her split from Ben Affleck after two years of marriage.
The “Marry Me” singer, 55, officially filed for divorce from Affleck, 52, on August 20, which just so happened to be the pair’s second anniversary of their Georgia ceremony.
According to the Daily Mail, that choice was intentional on the musician’s part.
“Jennifer said she was tired of being humiliated by Ben and she waited until the two-year anniversary because she wanted it to sting,” an insider alleged to the publication.
Per Page Six, Bennifer’s relationship began to crack during their Italy honeymoon.
Affleck shares kids Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, 52, from whom he split in 2015 after 10 years of marriage. Lopez, for her part, is mom to 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
